How to get connected and stay involved with Corlears School's alumni community.
Corlears is a small school, but our community has a big heart — and many ways to get involved.

Every dollar has a lasting impact — not just on  students attending Corlears today, but on all children who come through our doors.

There are a variety of opportunities available for current and alumni community members to get involved by volunteering their time.

A TRANSFORMATIONAL VISION
The Corlears 50th Anniversary Campaign

In 2018, Corlears celebrated its 50th anniversary. In honor of this significant milestone, Corlears School embarked on a 5-year, $4 million campaign that goes beyond our physical structure; this campaign is focused on our heart. Over the past five years, Corlears has been building a truly innovative and transformational vision that is growing a new model for what a private school made just for young children can be.

Corlears Plus

All about the before- and after-school care available to families enrolled at Corlears.

One of the many ways we are committed to providing families with the supports they need is through Corlears Plus, a program designed to provide before- and after-school care for students in PreK and above. At Corlears, our values are the cornerstone of our community and guide us every day, in and out of the classroom; through Plus, families can have peace of mind while their children continue to learn, play, and grow in an age-appropriate, nurturing, and engaging environment.

Early Birds: Early Morning Childcare

Early Birds is for students in PreK and above and runs from 8–8:20 a.m. on all school mornings. Families must arrive at the front of the school between 8–8:10 a.m., where they will be greeted by the Early Birds teacher.

Activities take place in the library, art studio, or gym and include games, arts and crafts, reading, and storytelling, followed by a supportive transition into the school day. Breakfast is not provided, but children are welcome to bring their breakfast with them and eat it during early morning group.

Early Birds is free of charge for all Corlears families.

Plus: After-School Programs

Corlears School's after-school programming, called Plus, offers two options for child care and enrichment: specialty classes by interest, and Choice Time, our general after-school care. After-school programming is in session daily for any full-time students, starting from your child’s afternoon dismissal time until 6:00 p.m.

Plus Pricing

Specialty classes are generally $650 per trimester, though we occasionally have higher-cost (and higher-fun!) options available. General after-school care (also known as Choice Time) is $45 per day, or families can opt to pay $495 for an entire trimester. The prices listed here are the maximum a family will be asked to pay, as the cost for all programming under Corlears Plus is scaled to a family's TEAM tuition level.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does payment work? Through Sawyer, our before- and after-school registration system.
What if I need to send my child to Plus on a day they don’t typically attend Plus?

Please email the following people as soon as you are aware of a change to your child’s Plus schedule:

What if I am a few minutes late to pick up my child? There is a 15-minute grace period following dismissal before parents are charged for a day of Plus; meaning, parents will not be charged for Plus if arriving to pick up their children before 3:30 p.m. After this 15-minute grace period, if a child is still at Plus, parents will be charged the full fee of $45 (scaled to TEAM level).
What if I arrive after 6:00 p.m. to pick up my child? Parents are expected to make every effort to pick up their child before 6:00 p.m. If you think that you will be late to pick up your child, please call the school and inform our receptionist. After three instances of late pick-up, parents will be required to attend a daytime meeting with the Head of School and Director of Educational Operations, during which a plan for avoiding future lateness must be presented. Any subsequent late pick-ups may result in the family losing access to Corlears Plus. (This policy is also outlined in our family handbook)
What if I have a meeting with a teacher or administrator at Corlears and need before- or after-school childcare? In the event that a family needs to attend a before- or after-school meeting at Corlears School, any child currently enrolled at Corlears School can attend Corlears Plus for the day at no charge.
