What Is Learn. Play. Grow. at Corlears?

Learn. Play. Grow. (LPG) is our school’s initiative to provide free community programming for children ages 0-4 (enrolled in Corlears or not) on select Saturdays throughout the school year.

Since 2021, we've opened our school up to hundreds of families, providing numerous kid-centric activities run by our teachers and program partners throughout the morning, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

The 2026-27 Season Is Here!

We're keeping the ongoing activities you love and adding a few new things:

  • Curriculum-inspired activities: Corlears teachers will lead activities connected to what our Nursery and PreK students are exploring that month.
  • Toddler jam sessions are back! By popular demand, music jams with our program partner Kids at Work are now part of the regular schedule.
  • Meet our Admissions team: Curious about Corlears? Stop by with your questions. It's a low-pressure way to learn more about our school.

Monthly Activity Schedule

Each Saturday, we run programming from 9:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. for children ages 0–4 and their caregivers. For the 2026-27 season, the LPG schedule will be as follows:

9:30–11:30 a.m.

Backyard Open Play
For ages 1–4

Let your children run, climb, ride tricycles, and play in our purpose-built outdoor space.

9:30–11:30 a.m.

Toddler Open Play
For ages 6 months–2.5 years

Caregivers are invited to accompany their child in our Toddler classroom for open-ended discovery, sensory exploration, and socialization.

9:30–11:30 a.m.

10:15–10:45 a.m.

Treasure Trunk Theatre
For ages 1–4

Join Treasure Trunk Theatre for an interactive musical adventure filled with songs, storytelling, movement, and imaginative play.

10:45–11:30 a.m.

Classroom Connection
For ages 2–4

New this year, Corlears teachers will be running activities connected to the school's curriculum and based on what our Nursery and PreK students are learning that month.

11:15 a.m.–12 p.m.

Arts for All
For ages 3–4

Arts for All's teachers will guide children in a themed arts-and-crafts activity designed to spark imagination.

11:30 a.m.–12 p.m.

Kids at Work Toddler Jam Session
For ages 6 months–1.5 years

Kids at Work introduces age-appropriate musical activities led by a professional musician. Caregivers are encouraged to participate alongside their toddlers as you sing, move, and explore rhythm together with scarves, instruments, bubbles, and more.

Equity & Access at Corlears

Equity, access, and belonging are core to who we are as a school and nonprofit organization, and we have nearly 60 years of experience fostering growth through play at the early childhood and elementary levels. LPG has been an exciting opportunity to share our mission with local families, and this is just the beginning!

Learn. Play. Grow. is also part of a larger initiative that includes shifting many aspects of the traditional independent school model, including the Tuition Equity and Access Model (TEAM), which has changed the paradigm from financial aid to equitable tuition level-setting for all Corlears families.
