Corlears 50th Anniversary Gala Brings Together Parents, Faculty & Community
Nearly 230 members of the Corlears family came together at the annual gala, themed “honor the past, celebrate the present, and shape the future.” Guests commemorated with school’s golden anniversary with an evening of dinner, drinks, auctions, and a (gold pom pom) paddle raise in support of our small school’s inclusive, vibrant community.
Thanks to our passionate community of parents, alumni, faculty, and staff, the event raised more than $255,000, which ensures all Corlears students can thrive in the most inclusive and expansive ways – today and in the decades to come.
Corlears prides itself on building a strong academic foundation for young learners ages 2-10. Our expert teachers and expansive curriculum teach children to be critical-thinkers and caring members of their communities through social studies-based projects, math, and a commitment to social justice education.
“Our institution has been shaping young children for 50 years, and will continue to do so as long as there is a need – and there IS a need,” David Egolf, Head of School, told the crowd at Tribeca Rooftop. “The children that come out of our little school are extraordinary. They are poised, thoughtful, imaginative, intellectual, compassionate, future leaders. Now, more than ever, we need the children of Corlears.”
Thank you to all of our incredible auction donors, our Art Specialist Becky West, our auctioneer C.K. Swett, and the entire Gala Committee for helping us make this milestone extra special.
