Corlears is filled with energy and the sounds of joyful children who are engaged and curious about the community in which they live and the larger world around them. They are compassionate, creative, and filled with desire to meet new challenges and pursue new paths to solutions.

Our students love Corlears and love to learn: Here are the reasons why:

  • Our academic program helps them develop deep understanding and innovative thinking. Throughout their experience here, they learn to collaborate and communicate.
  • Kindness, respect, and integrity are expressed in every interaction at Corlears. Our students are empowered with the skills and the passion to make a difference in the world.
  • We are a small, intimate community where every child is known. We are also large enough to offer art, science, Spanish, music, technology, and physical education. Our fantastic library is filled with volumes of age-appropriate literature and non-fiction.

A major focus on leadership and peer mentoring begins in the classrooms of our youngest students and culminates in fifth grade when our oldest students take on the responsibility of being the school's student leaders.

Our program, designed for children in their early years through fifth grade, provides the best possible foundation for success in middle school. While other ongoing schools are focused on preparing their students for high school or college, our goal is to recognize the special components of childhood learning, age-appropriate instruction, and preparing them for middle school.

Graduates from Corlears are capable, compassionate innovators who move on to one of their first choice middle schools. They are ready, eager, and confident. From their time here, they have learned about themselves and have important insights into the schools they feel are right for them.

Please explore our website and discover the richness of our program. Come see Corlears and feel the excitement and energy our children feel every day. Take a tour, meet our faculty, and see for yourself our light-filled, spacious classrooms. I promise you will wish that you attended Corlears when you were a young child.

I look forward to meeting you soon.

Sincerely,

David Egolf
