Corlears School’s faculty members are deeply invested in each and every student who comes through the doors of our school. Inside each classroom, the head teacher and assistant teacher know and care about each child as if he or she were his or her own.
Our faculty looks at the whole child – who the child is academically, socially, and emotionally. Corlears classroom teachers, specialists in art, music, science, foreign language, technology, and our librarian collaborate to design curricula and set goals based on the developmental stages of children as well as the particular needs of the children in their classes. Above all, members of Corlears’ faculty respect each child and his or her strengths and areas that require support.
Every classroom is staffed by a head teacher with a master’s degree in early childhood education and an assistant teacher currently enrolled in a master’s in education program. Most of our specialists have a master's in their field of expertise or have significant, equivalent experience. We consider ourselves to be a community of learners - child and adult. To that end staff are encouraged to attend conferences and pursue courses to enrich and refresh their practice.
