Corlears School’s faculty members are deeply invested in each and every student who comes through the doors of our school. Inside each classroom, the head teacher and assistant teacher know and care about each child as if he or she were his or her own.
Our faculty looks at the whole child – who the child is academically, socially, and emotionally. Corlears classroom teachers, specialists in art, music, science, foreign language, technology, and our librarians collaborate to design curricula and set goals based on the developmental stages of children as well as the particular needs of the children in their classes. Above all, members of Corlears’ faculty respect each child and his or her strengths and areas that require support.
Every classroom has a head teacher with a Master’s Degree in early childhood education and an assistant teacher who has a Master’s Degree or is in the process of obtaining one. Every faculty member is encouraged to pursue professional development workshops and courses to enrich and refresh their teaching methods and curricula. Corlears financially supports all of these endeavors. There are 58 full and part-time teachers who are committed, caring, and passionate about imparting important values and knowledge that serve as an important foundation for learning and curiosity that will last a lifetime.
