Corlears Faculty and Staff

The Corlears faculty is committed to encouraging the intellectual, social, physical, and emotional growth of our students. The faculty not only has a concern for the well-being of each child, but also has an ongoing commitment to academic excellence in all its teaching. Our faculty possesses a diversity of interests and talents that they share with the children.

Most of our teachers have earned advanced degrees; many have been trained at Bank Street College of Education, a leader in the field of education. Classroom instruction is enriched by teaching specialists in music, art, woodworking, science, drama, movement, and physical education.

Throughout the year faculty members work with curriculum specialists to further develop their professional skills.

At Corlears we value continuity and experience in classroom teaching, which we encourage through participation in the Advisory Committee - a group of some of our senior teachers and the Head of School. Participation in this committee encourages on-going professional development and faculty involvement in school-wide administrative issues.
